Some pictures...

We are leaving for Chicago tomorrow, so I won't be posting for a while. We went camping last weekend... and it was great! Anastasia loved it! She definately loves the outdoors. There is nothing like waking up at daybreak to a cup of perculated coffee to the refreshing sounds and smells of nature. Here are some pictures:

Yay for camping!

Happy Birthday Me!

My favorite Gift!
Well, my birthday was Friday... Nick bought me this book called "Crunchy Con's" because his boss (Father Planty) asked if I was a Crunchy Con. Apparently I am! Reading the book is somewhat wild, because I feel like the author is Nick and I, 10 years in the future! Seriously weird. Anyway, the description is: Crunchy Cons: How Birkenstocked Burkeans, gun-loving organic gardeners, evangelical free-range farmers, hip homeschooling mamas, right-wing nature lovers, and their diverse tribe of countercultural conservatives plan to save America (or at least the Republican Party). Its really awesome because sometimes I feel we live a somewhat liberal lifestyle with reguards to the environment, our choices in organic foods and our cultural tastes. I have been dubbed a "hippie" time and time again, yet I feel the heart of my beliefs have nothing to do with a traditional "hippie" belief system. So yay for independant thinkers!

I spent the entire weekend in a Life Insurance class. 9 hours Saturday, 9 hours Sunday. Nick spent his first entire day Saturday with the baby. I left bottles of pumped milk... I made like 5 out of worry she would be extra hungry or something. She drank 1. I was so worried I would come home to a screaming starving child. Instead Nick was reading with Anastasia spread across his lap asleep. I had missed her so much... and it seemed she didn't even miss me! The next day she was with my mom and I came back to a screaming child. Not because of my mom. They had a great day together. I think she had an upset tummy... probably bottle gas. Turns out it wasn't anything that a little fresh-from-mommy milk couldn't fix. Maybe she did miss me afterall!

Thank you Craig... whoever you are...

Can I just say I LOVE CRAIG'S LIST!!! I just got a bunch of moving boxes, and Nick is picking up a camp stove and some airmattresses we got for $40 (including a pump). We are going camping in a couple weeks, and Nick wanted an air mattress and I wanted a campstove, and I found this post with both! And it will cost less than at REI using my dividend, and we can use our $20 dividend for something else. I will try and resell one of the mattresses for $10 since we probably don't need both. I also just sold my wardrobe (that is slightly falling apart) for $40 and plan on selling our Futon next week! in this move, who knows what other wondrous things I will be able to sell! I was thinking of starting a business once we settle at my parents of buying items at yardsales and selling them on Craig's List... hmm.
